Privacy & Diagnostics

Choose usage statistics and crash reports separately, on each device you use.

Open Privacy & Diagnostics

  1. Open Account → Privacy & Diagnostics. A privacy entry point is also available before sign-in.
  2. On iPhone or iPad, the controls are Product Analytics and Crash Reports. On Android, they are Usage analytics and Crash diagnostics.
  3. Turn each setting on or off according to your preference. They are separate choices; you can enable one without enabling the other.

What happens: your choices apply to this device and are remembered across sign-out and restart. They do not sync to your other devices. Review the settings separately on each iPhone, iPad or Android device you use.

What does Product Analytics do?

Product Analytics shares app-usage and feature events to help improve LoopSplit. Turning it off stops LoopSplit usage-event reporting and clears analytics data stored on this device. It does not delete data already sent.

Our custom events do not include your search text, Book or entry titles, receipt content, expense amounts, email address or LoopSplit account ID. Analytics can still process app and device identifiers and purchase measurements as described in the Privacy Policy.

What does Crash Reports do?

Crash Reports helps diagnose problems with crash traces, device information and relevant app state. Turning it off stops new submissions and requests deletion of unsent reports. We do not receive confirmation that this deletion completed, and reports already submitted or in transit cannot be recalled.

Why do the initial settings differ?

Defaults depend on the device’s reliably determined region. In the EU/EEA, UK, or when the region cannot be reliably determined, both controls default off. In other reliably identified regions, both default on. A choice you save for each control on this device takes precedence over the default.

Check the switches themselves to see your current choices. LoopSplit does not require a first-launch pop-up before you can use the app.

Will turning them off affect my Books?

What happens: these choices do not disable essential sign-in, security checks, Book synchronization or push notifications. They do not delete your account, expenses or saved receipts.

Receipt recognition still runs on your device. A receipt photo you save as an attachment is uploaded to your shared Book and can be viewed by its members, independently of these diagnostic choices.

I cannot find these settings

The two controls are available in the LoopSplit 1.2 series on iPhone, iPad and Android. If you use 1.1 or earlier, update from the App Store or Google Play. The current apps require iOS / iPadOS 17 or later, or Android 9 or later.

For questions about information already submitted or an account-deletion request, contact support. See the Privacy Policy for the full information and retention details.

For the LoopSplit 1.2 series on iPhone, iPad and Android. Button names follow your app language and can vary by platform.
