Terms of Use
Pro is an optional, automatically renewing subscription through Apple or Google Play. Review the total price and billing period in your store before confirming. Use the same LoopSplit account to restore it. Deleting the app or your LoopSplit account does not cancel billing.
1. Who provides LoopSplit
LoopSplit is provided by Jiajun Zhang, an individual developer based in the United States, using the developer name PeterZhang on Google Play (“we”, “us”). Contact us through LoopSplit Support or zhangjj2007@yahoo.com. These terms cover the LoopSplit apps and associated account and shared-book services. Google Play’s terms also apply to purchases made through Google Play. For an app obtained from Apple’s App Store, the software license is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these service terms supplement it and do not replace or amend it. For Android, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for the service, subject to these terms and applicable law.
2. Using the service
LoopSplit records shared expenses, income, repayments and recurring entries. It does not transfer money, connect to a bank, hold funds, or settle a debt on your behalf. Entries and balances describe what members record; they do not determine whether a debt is legally enforceable. Check amounts, participants, currencies, dates and suggested receipt-scan results before saving or relying on them.
Use LoopSplit only where you may lawfully use it and can agree to these terms. The service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age needed to enter a contract where you live, a parent or guardian must authorize your use as required by local law.
3. Your account and shared books
Keep your sign-in credentials secure and give accurate account information. Do not use another person’s account without permission. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Invite only people you intend to share a book with. Members can see the records, attached receipts and member information made available in that book. All current members have equal collaboration permissions: they can edit or delete book records, record entries on behalf of members, replace receipts and manage membership. Other members may change content you add. A valid invite link or code may reveal the book name before sign-in; joining requires sign-in and confirmation. A name already sent to someone cannot be recalled. Review the book and recipients before sharing an invitation or uploading information about someone else. You are responsible for having permission to submit that information.
4. Your content
You retain the rights you have in the names, photos, receipts and other content you submit. You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit that content as needed to run the service and share it with the members you authorize. This permission does not authorize unrelated advertising or sale of your content. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
Do not submit unlawful content, infringe other people’s rights, impersonate others, harass members, distribute malicious software, or attempt to bypass access controls, subscription verification or service limits.
5. Optional Pro subscriptions
Free features and their limits are shown in the app. Pro unlocks the benefits described on the purchase screen while the verified subscription remains active. A subscribing member’s Pro can unlock eligible shared books while that person remains a member and the subscription remains active. Shared access does not give another member a personal subscription.
Apple or Google Play displays the applicable local price, taxes and billing period before purchase. Monthly plans renew monthly and yearly plans renew yearly unless cancelled through the purchasing store. The store handles payment; we do not receive your card details. There is no free trial unless the store explicitly offers one and shows its terms.
Subscribe while signed in to the intended LoopSplit account. The verified purchase is linked to that account. Restoring purchases checks the store purchase and its existing LoopSplit account binding; it does not transfer a subscription to another LoopSplit account. Pro purchased on another supported platform may be recognized on the same LoopSplit account. Manage billing through the store where you subscribed; avoid purchasing overlapping subscriptions.
A pending payment does not activate Pro. A payment hold, pause, expiry, refund or revocation may end access when the store’s verified status no longer gives an entitlement. Cancelling renewal normally preserves access through the period already paid for.
6. Cancellation, refunds and purchase support
To review renewal dates, change payment details or cancel an Apple subscription, use Apple’s subscription instructions. For Google Play, open Subscriptions in Google Play. Google’s cancellation instructions provide the current steps. Uninstalling LoopSplit, leaving a book or deleting your LoopSplit account does not cancel the subscription.
Refund eligibility depends on applicable law and Google Play’s refund policies or Apple’s refund process, as applicable. Cancellation and refund requests are separate. You can contact your store or LoopSplit Support for purchase problems. These terms do not exclude any mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund or other consumer rights.
7. Deletion and service access
You can request account deletion in Account → Delete Account, or contact support if you cannot access the app. Deletion requests removal of your profile and sign-in account and departure from shared books; cleanup and access revocation may take time or require retries. Records and attached receipts in shared books can remain for the other members, as described in the Privacy Policy. Cancel store subscriptions separately before deleting your account.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a security incident or a material breach of these terms. Where practical and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and offer a way to resolve it through support. Restrictions do not remove rights you have under applicable law or your store’s refund process.
8. Reliability and changes
We work to keep LoopSplit available and its calculations accurate, but networks, third-party services and software can fail. Keep your own copy of important financial records and verify information before relying on it. No disclaimer in these terms limits obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update the service or these terms. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated through the app, the store or an appropriate account contact before they take effect where required. The current terms will show their effective date. Store price changes and renewal notices follow the store’s applicable processes and your legal rights.
Usage statistics and crash diagnostics
The 1.2 series on iPhone, iPad and Android provides separate on-device controls for optional usage statistics and crash reports. Each choice is saved on that device and takes precedence over defaults. For the EU/EEA, UK and unknown regions, both controls default off; elsewhere, they default on only when a region is reliably identified. A fresh coarse regional classification is obtained through Google Firebase Remote Config and may be based on an approximate country or region inferred from IP address. No mandatory first-launch pop-up is shown. Turning off crash reports stops new submissions and requests deletion of unsent reports; reports already submitted or in transit cannot be recalled. These controls do not disable essential sign-in, security, synchronization or push notifications. Version 1.1 and earlier do not provide these controls. Accepting these terms is not a separate optional data-collection choice. See the Privacy Policy for details and limitations.
9. Your legal rights and contact
Nothing in these terms removes protections that apply under the mandatory laws of your place of residence, including consumer guarantees and remedies. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or choose a court that overrides those protections. Contact LoopSplit Support with questions or a dispute so we can try to resolve it.
